SNPET students celebrated Iqbal Day (Yom-e Iqbal) to commemorate the groundbreaking dream of Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Young students recited poems and poetry of the great poet to recall his message and the importance of its implementation in their lives. Grade 5 students debated “Iqbal Aur Aaj Ka Nojawan.”A quiz was organized in the morning assembly to enhance students’ knowledge about the poet of the East. Grade 5 students pleasantly organized Bait Bazi.
Playgroup students performed a tableau on the poem, Shehed Ki Makhee. Then, Aaron Zia from the playgroup played “Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua” on piano and mesmerized the audience with his melodious tune. Students of grade 4 performed mime on the poem “Aik Pahar Aur Gulehri”, and 6 and 7 recited Shikwa and Jawab-e-Shikwa beautifully.
Hassin Danish of Grade 10R sang "Her Lehza h Momin" in his melodious voice. Senior school Choir from grades 6 to 8 performed on "Do Sitarey". Students from senior school also sang” Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua” and presented the tribute to the national hero through their speeches and poetry recitation. The day recalled the history, refreshed the essence of literature, highlighted the efforts of a Muslim Hero, and urged the youth to aspire for bigger and unseen possibilities.
