Grade 10 student Anum Ashraf got visa to participate in the International Summer Camp 2013 in USA

Congratulations!!!! To all Sanjan Nagar family it’s proudly disclosed, that one of our brilliant student Anum Ashraf got five year multiple visa through Seeds of Peace Pakistan for International Summer Camp 2013 in Maine USA.  A Seed of Peace is a peace building, youth NGO based in New York City. The main objective of this organization is, to bring youth from areas of conflict to its International camp, where SOP provides a neutral, supportive setting for hundreds of young leaders from region in conflict to meet their “rival” face to face and enable them to develop conflict resolution approach through dialogue and discussion.

As Anum is joining for this camp for three weeks, the whole program is designed to open young minds for the new horizon of peace and conflict resolution.

Anum is very optimistic and happy to be a part of Seeds of Peace International Camp, Maine USA. Hopefully she will move to States in the last week of June 2013. She stated that,
“What I think about Seeds of Peace International Camp is that it would be a place where people will never discriminate on the basis of caste, color, creed, religion or nationality. Everybody has an equal right to say whatever he or she wants to express. Seeds of Peace provides us safe and secure environment for expression of honest perspective. I’m very much thankful to my School Management, my worthy Principal Ma’m Aliya Ayoub and my teacher, Sir Sharoon Wajahat Attray for equipping me to qualify and compete best schools of Lahore and making me able to be the ambassador for peace from my very school, city and Pakistan”
SOP asked for $1000 for traveling / Misc expenses but we applied for a scholarship for Anum Ashraf.
