Science teacher Ms.Farzana Kausar won Anita Gulam Ali Award. She received this award on the special occasion of International Literacy day 2013. The ceremony was held at Avari Hotel Lahore. She is serving at Sanjan Nagar School as a Bio teacher since 2005. She has been selected as a SSC &HSSC section Head of Sanjan Nagar School by Education committee as well.
Anita Gulam Ali Award is a tribute for best, courageous and vigilant teachers of Pakistan. 10 best teachers are selected every year who worked on specific theme. This year’s theme was on the “Role of Teachers in Environmental Education (EE) and Climate Change”. The award has four categories for selection:
1. professional excellence,
2. Activism for School/learning Improvement,
3. Material Development
4. Community based Initiatives
She took first position. The award comprises of a citation, a shield and cash prize of Rs 100,000. Ms. Misbah Rani, Head Early Year’s section of SN, also won Anita Gulam Ali Award in 2010. The Theme at that time was “Early Childhood Education”.
