On 11th June, a powerful mental health awareness session was held for Grade 8-10 students with the support of Mrs. Tasneem Maqbol. Dr. Saamia led the session and reminded everyone that mental health shapes how we think, feel, handle stress & build relationships. Students learned the 4 root causes of struggles + early warning signs of anxiety and depression. The message was clear: notice changes in mood, sleep & appetite early. Talk about it. Don’t hide it.
Care for your mind daily. Exercise, sleep 7-9 hours, eat well, journal, do yoga, and talk to someone you trust. Asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. Psychologists & psychiatrists are there for you. In Lahore, support is available at the Punjab Institute of Mental Health, Fountain House, Shalamar, Services & Mayo Hospitals. The session ended with a live Q&A for students, teachers & parents.
Raise awareness. Break the stigma. Seek help early.
We’re deeply thankful to Mrs. Tasneem Maqbol for making this vital session possible.
