Facilities
SNPET is striving to provide a wide array of facilities to its students and teachers both in order to provide them with a well rounded program. All resources for land and the building were provided from the Trust’s original endowment. The facilities include:
Custom Built School Structure
In August 2003, the School shifted to its purpose-built facility in Hamza Town, Ferozepur Road covering 13 kanals. In April 2004 the Federal Minister for Education, Zobaida Jalal & the Provincial Minister for Education Mian Imran Masood performed the formal Opening of the school.
Dedicated Staff
SNPET and SNSS strives to recruit capable and committed faculty members to teach 21st century skills. SNSS seeks to upgrade the quality of its human resources through regular trainings by renowned trainers, training and research institutions. We believe the ordinary can be made into extra ordinary professionals.
Library
Whilst the two campuses (Hima/morning and afternoon) have a modest library with 10,000 books, providing reading and reference material for students and teachers alike with access to online IT access, the Nishtar campus also has an emergent theme based library. Six trans-disciplinary themes are organized for the primary years in the library and progressively relevant books for middle and high school. Computer Laboratory
Computer labs and integrated IT facilities in classrooms are in place to ensure that ALL students become fully enabled IT users from a very young age. Latest ICT techniques are used, including project based learning and teacher training with in-house presentations and group learning. IT based lesson preparation, research and assessments is a compulsory requirement for all faculty.
Science Laboratory
There are three fully equipped science laboratories to remain abreast of the science curriculum so that experiential learning for physics, biology and chemistry is systematically embedded for grades 6 and above.
Art Room
Art is an integral and vibrant part of the MSS curricula focusing on creative expression, and is aesthetically integrated across all subjects. Students are encouraged to work with diverse media: watercolor, oil, charcoal, crayons markers, pail work and clay, for vibrant displays.
Field Visits
SNPET actively promotes field visits as part of experiential lemming of students and faculty. These have Included: Taxi* Harrapa, Science Museum, local Farms, Factories, Hotels and the Race Course.
Free Medical Screening, Check-ups and Referrals
Sanjan Nagar is affiliated with The Children’s Hospital & the Institute of Child Health for periodic doctors’ visits for free medical checkups, emergency and tertiary medical services at the hospital. A Health Fund operates to provide emergency relief to students and their families. There is a dedicated room at the films campus for first-aid facilities for students under the supervision of a trained school health worker.
Play/Sports Areas
Sanjan Nagar has an impressive playground for all sports activities shared by all campuses; some favourite • sports are : karate, cricket, aerobics, relay races etc..
Parents at SNPETHSS have also been involved in various workshops conducted by external agencies on various areas of personal and social well being.
